Harold graduated with Bachelors of Science degree from Arizona State University in May of 1979 and graduated “with distinction” Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in May of 1984. After graduating from law school he Clerked for the Iowa Fifth Judicial District from July of 1984 to July of 1986, when he joined the Law Firm of Corcoran, Skiver, DeKoter & Thole located in Sibley, Osceola County, Iowa. Harold retired as a partner from the law firm in 2022, which is now DeKoter, Thole, Dawson, Rockman & Krikke, PLC. During his time at the law firm, Harold served as part-time Assistant Osceola County Attorney from 1986 to 1990 and part-time Osceola County Attorney from 1990 to 1996. His general practice emphasized municipal law, mediation, collaborative law, family, criminal defense, real estate, estate planning, probate, personal injury, contract, and employment law. Harold is now excited and looking forward to using his education and background as a member of the law firm of Sterling Shield Legal, LLC.

Since September of 2022, Harold and his wife, Lizelle, have resided in Peoria, Arizona, as a part of the community of Westbrook Village. They have five children and nine grandchildren and their family is growing. They both enjoy golfing and are continuing to explore opportunities and friendships in their community.
